Natalie Simon is a fully qualified Physiotherapist and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine). She has been in practice since 1998 and trades under the business name of Physical Posture
Prior to completing her Physiotherapy degree, Natalie worked as a Personal Trainer and a Sports Massage Therapist. She also wrote numerous articles for the local newspaper and magazines on the topic of wellness and injury prevention.
As a Physiotherapist, Natalie has also worked at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, NSW as well as the former Prince Henry Hospital, NSW, as well as completing an extended secondment in Albury Wodonga. With a special interest in sport and exercise, Natalie became an Exercise Rehabilitation Specialist and an Assistant Physiotherapist for a number of elite sporting teams, including the first grade St George Illawarra Rugby League Team. She was also a Director of the successful Exercise Rehabilitation Business called Physiofit Rehabilitation Solutions, which specialises in evidence based exercises for all acute and chronic musculo-skeletal injuries.
Natalie has lectured both nationally and internationally in the area of postural assessment, core stability exercises, chronic back and neck pain and injury prevention.
Natalie became interested in Acupuncture very early on in her career. Whilst working with a number of elite sporting teams, she hoped to find another tool for treatment. After completing a one year Acupuncture course through the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Natalie knew that she was destined to follow this path and soon enrolled in a 4 year full time course in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine). She now holds an Advanced Diploma in TCM from the Sydney Institute of Chinese Medicine as well as completing training in Guangzhou Hospital and Anhui Hospital China.
In practise Natalie combines her Chinese and Western medicine background into her diagnosis and treatments. The combination of these two practices has proved to be very successful with her patients in both Physiotherapy and Acupuncture as well as Sports Rehabilitation.
Natalie works as a consultant at Coogee Physio in South Coogee, and through her business Physical Posture, she also runs specialised one-on-one and group pain management programmes at the same location.
